I’m good at snapping my fingers. Watch out if I start snapping.

I’ve long had a fantasy that I have magic powers, like Jeanie from I dream of Jeannie or Samantha on Bewitched. I imagine that, with a twitch of my nose or a quick nod of my head, I can make things happen. Magic things. Exciting things. I’d keep this talent quiet otherwise people would pester me to death and already people annoy the shit out of me.

I remembered this particular fantasy while in traffic this week.

Imagine how awesome it could be to dish out instant Karma?

Ooops! It appears the tailgater behind me has spilled their coffee. Look! The jackass on the cell phone ….. The Bitch who just cut me off…

No wait, it turns out I’m not mature enough to have super powers.

Damn.

If you could do magic, what would you do with it? Do you want to be a genie or a witch? Or are you more of a conjurer? What’s the first thing you’d do? Would it be revenge motivated or for the good of the world? Revenge is certainly more interesting.

I have always thought that I would like to be invisible at will, and to be able to change things that didn’t turn out well by reversing time and starting it over. I don’t think revenge is in order, but it might be at times. I also would like to do magic like Bewitched. Jeannie often messed things up. I don’t think I would use it to control traffic EXCEPT I would certainly get rid of those DAMN cameras!

Oh HO! This is an easy one! I’d be a good witch, and use my powers to right wrongs – – – in my own inimitable way, thusly: I’d make my ex-husband’s penis shrink to the size of a well used golf pencil and I’d cause the vagina of my former “best friend” (are you gettig what hppened here?) to grow an unending, noxious, foamy green infection. I’d vaporize the man who was rude to everyone around him at a restaurant last night and I’d make sure my ever-lovin’ fiance got something extra in his paycheck every two weeks (he teaches alternative-education high schoolers with more attitude than gratitude). And that’s just the beginning . . . what fun to ponder!!

You might not be mature enough for super powers either. I’m just saying. OR perhaps we’re looking at this all wrong. The world would be a much more just and honest place with our super natural input!
