I was looking everywhere for my assistant. He was nowhere to be found. Not under the bed, or in the closet, or asleep on top of the chest freezer in the laundry room. And then I found him, but I had to look twice.
Oh, duh! The post is called “The E.T. Impression.” Well, I did get up at 4:45, leave for work at 5:30, drive 90 minutes, work outdoors for 10 hours (in the rain for part of it), pick up a pizza, and drive 90 minutes home. I have an excuse for missing the obvious.
